The influence of bacterial lipopolysaccharide Escherichia coli, introduced to male rats on the activity of some enzymes in the cytoplasm of primary spermatocytes

Abstract. The paper deals with the results of experimental studies concerning the influence of bacterial lipopolysaccharide E.coli, administered to male rats, on the activity of G6PDH, LDH, NADH-dehydrogenase and NADPH-dehydrogenase in the cytoplasm of primary spermatocytes of the seminiferous tubules on the 10th-60th days after administration. The administration of LPS E.coli to white male rats was shown to lead to decreased level of the activity of key enzymes of the pentose phosphate shunt, anaerobic glycolysis, and NADH-dehydrogenase and NADPH-dehydrogenase in the cytoplasm of primary spermatocytes of the seminiferous tubules for a long period after administration.
