Abstract.
The incidence of tumors and tumor-like pathologies in girls of the Russian Federation varies from 0,5% to 1,7%. Histological structure of ovarian tumors depends on age. The younger the female patient, the more data there will be in favour of the true tumor development in the ovary. In the pubertal period benign variants of ovarian neoplasms predominate. The greater part of true tumors is of herminogenic origin. All neoplasms found in childhood and prepubertal periods should undergo surgical treatment, in contrast to retention cysts. When the clinical picture of “acute abdomen” appears in girls, the duly and correct diagnosis is made only in 25% of cases. The main demand on surgical interventions is organ-preserving treatment, which became possible due to the widespread use of laparoscopy as a minimally invasive method of diagnosis and surgical treatment. It should be remembered that any influence on the ovarian tissue in the process of interventions leads to irreversible changes in its structure with the development of folliculo- and luteogenesis disturbances.
Key words: girls, ovarian tumor, laparoscopy, incidence, pubertal period, organ-preserving treatment.
