Methods of investigation and clinical significance of thrombocytes aggregation with emphasis on spontaneous aggregation of platelets
Abstract. Modern conceptions of the structure and function of platelets, mechanisms of their stimulated and spontaneous aggregation are presented in this review article. Particular attention is paid to methods of detecting spontaneous aggregation of platelets. It has been shown that spontaneous platelet aggregation occurs in many diseases, increasing the risk of cardiovascular events and other thrombotic complications. In their study the authors observed spontaneous platelet aggregation in 66% of patients with arterial hypertension (AH) stage II and in 48,4% of cases with AH stage II combined with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease of various degree of severity, and it was associated with hypercholesterolemia.
