Introduction of translational medicine conception into the educational process (speciality «Dentistry»)
Abstract.
In the present paper information on one of the most difficult sections of dentistry – «Endoperiodontology» is provided. This information is used by the principle of translational medicine in teaching it to the third- and fifth-year dental students and practicing dentists.
Translational medicine is a new stage in the development of classical as well as molecular medicine. This process enables the fastest transfer of the discoveries from the fundamental researches conducted in laboratories to the field of practical application in medicine, including dentistry. The basis of translational medicine is diagnosis, scientific researches and development being aimed at its improvement. Well-conducted investigations with the use of all modern methods of diagnosis provide for the economic component of public health in particular.
