Acmeological orientation of the personality of the students of Vitebsk State Medical University as a component of their competitiveness

Abstract.
Objectives. To study acmeological orientation of the personality of the students of Vitebsk State Medical University as a component of their competitiveness.
Material and methods. We examined 219 students of VSMU. To study the orientation of the personality as the basis of acmeological orientation of an individual we used the «Technique of diagnosing the orientation of an individual» by B. Bass (orientation questionnaire). For the study of motivation as a component of acmeological orientation of the personality we used the technique «Affiliation Motivation» by A. Megrabyan in the modification of M.Sh. Magomed-Eminov. We studied their desire to achieve success using the questionnaire by A. A. Rean «Motivation of success and the fear of failure».
Results. The students showed the dominance of their orientation to communication, a significant predominance of the medium level of motives development based on «aspiration to people» and «fear of rejection» and also motivation for success. The gender peculiarities of acmeological orientation of the students’ personality were revealed.
Conclusions. The study of acmeological orientation of the personality of VSMU students as a component of their competitiveness revealed a number of special features that must be considered when elaborating the program of the competitiveness formation of the personality of VSMU students.
