Characteristic features of representations about their own communicative activity in the medical students of VSMU

Abstract.
The purpose of the study is to study the peculiarities of ideas about their own communicative activity (CA) of the medical students of VSMU.
Material and methods. The study involved 204 students of the medical faculty. Among them there were 103 students of the 2nd year and 101 students of the 6th year.
The investigation of students’ ideas about their own communicative activity was carried out by means of questioning.
Results. A comparative analysis of the dynamic and gender characteristics of the ideas about their own CA of the students of the 2nd and the 6th years of the Faculty of General Medicine indicates a more positive nature of the ideas about their own CA among the 2nd-year students, a more critical attitude of girls to their CA and, in relation to girls, a more positive nature of ideas about their own CA in boys.
Conclusions. This pattern may indicate that the educational process at the university contributes to the development of critical thinking in students and the formation of more adequate ideas about their own CA in them. The results of the study can be used in the educational process of VSMU, the activities of the socio-pedagogical and psychological services, the work of facilitators of academic groups and tutors.
