Abstract.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is currently the most common form of tunnel neuropathy. The problem of diagnosis and adequate treatment of the disease in the Republic of Belarus remains relevant. This may be due to insufficient awareness of outpatient clinicians conducting differential diagnostic searches and initiating treatment tactics.
Targeted study of complaints and anamnesis, the use of clinical provocative tests, questionnaires, neurological examination, instrumental research methods make it possible to verify and confirm the diagnosis. The article presents modern methods of conservative and surgical treatment for this disease, their effectiveness assessment from the point of view of evidence-based medicine. Algorithms of diagnostic process and therapeutic tactics have been proposed.
