Abstract.
In previous studies we have developed the medicine in the form of medical hemostatic foam based on aluminum chloride. The purpose of this work was to evaluate the specific activity of a medical hemostatic foam based on aluminum chloride by modelling parenchymal bleeding on the liver of rats with the withdrawal of animals on days 1, 3, 7, 14, 21, 30, which had been described in the Guidelines for conducting preclinical studies of medicines by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor A.N. Mironov. The time to achieve hemostasis and such postoperative complications as the presence of inflammation, signs of recurrent bleeding, adhesions and fibrin plaque were selected as evaluation criteria. The time of achieving hemostasis was determined as the time of removing the medicine from the wound surface. The recovery time of the animal’s activity after the performed operation was also assessed. It was determined that when using medical hemostatic foam based on aluminum chloride, hemostasis of parenchymal bleeding occurred on an average in 11.96± 6.56 s. The occurrence of fibrin plaque decreased by day 30, and its localization was limited to the area of the inflicted wound. It was established that the inflammatory process and the signs of recurrent bleeding were absent from the first day of observation. In 40 animals out of 72, an adhesive process developed, in 69 out of 72 rats, the activity was restored within 1 day.
Keywords: aluminum chloride, medical foam, parenchymal bleeding, hemostasis, hemostatic drugs.
