Abstract.
The article analyzes a range of combination drugs used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, registered in the Republic of Belarus. Based on the literature data, the degradation characteristics of the active pharmaceutical substances in the most common combinations (hydrochlorothiazide, candesartan, telmisartan, valsartan, losartan, amlodipine, perindopril, etc.) are considered. The drug stability has been established to depend on storage conditions and the nature of stress exposure: acid, alkaline, oxidative hydrolysis, thermal and photolytic factors. Typical degradation products and differences in the stability of components, determining the quality and shelf life of drugs, are identified. Factors influencing the formation of impurities are considered, including technological features of synthesis and interactions between the active ingredients and excipients. The importance of quality control at all stages of production and storage, as well as the need to identify and qualify related and degradable impurities are emphasized. The obtained results have practical significance for the development of more stable and safe combination dosage forms, which contributes to increasing the effectiveness and safety of cardiac therapy.
Keywords: combination drugs, cardiovascular diseases, product range analysis, stability, degradation, hydrochlorothiazide.
