The role of cluster initiative in the development of medical education

Abstract.
Objectives. To ealuate the results of the cluster initiatives using for the development of medical education.
Material and methods. The analysis of the results of the intracluster interaction in the educational sphere over the period from 2015 to 2018 was made.
Results. Various mechanisms of public-private partnership have been worked out within the framework of medical cluster – the Union «Medicine and Pharmaceutics – Innovative Projects» functioning over the period from 2015 to 2018.
The cluster’s work was aimed at raising the level of theoretical and practical training of medical students, post-graduate training of medical specialists and increasing the attractiveness of scientific-research work among both the students and gifted schoolchildren.
The use of instruments for additional training within the framework of the implementation of educational programs of higher education and further development of specialists’ vocational competence enable relatively quick training of specialists for performing certain production functions.
Deeper cooperation between universities, scientific organizations and enterprises is needed in order to attract young people to scientific researches and to form the personnel reserve necessary for the realization of the innovative development path of the pharmaceutical industry.
Conclusions. Additional kinds of training were used as a part of implementation of higher education curricula, as well as the upgrading of specialists, the formation of comprehensive programs aimed at attracting students and schoolchildren to scientific-research activities. The used approaches turned out to be effective and can be recommended for solving the problems of preparing skilled personnel within the framework of public-private partnership and innovative-industrial clusters being formed.
