Abstract.
Objectives. To analyze morbidity with temporary disability (TD) at the enterprise for the production of machinery and equipment in the city of Vitebsk for the period from 2015 to 2019 to justify the inclusion of this enterprise in the hygienic project “Improving measures for the prevention of occupational and production-related morbidity among the employees of enterprises for production of machinery and equipment”.
Material and methods. The analysis of morbidity with temporary disability was made among a group of people exposed during their professional activities to adverse factors in the working environment (exposed group) and a group of people whose professional activities are not associated with exposure to harmful production factors (non-exposed group). To analyze the morbidity with temporary disability, data on the payroll of employees and information from the departmental reporting forms “Information on the causes of temporary disability at an enterprise in the mechanical engineering industry of Vitebsk” were used.
Results. The index of morbidity with temporary disability in cases among workers of the exposed group in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019 was statistically significantly higher than the indices of morbidity with temporary disability in cases among the non-exposed group workers.
Conclusions. The statistical reliability of the differences in the health status indices of workers in the comparison groups suggests the influence of working environmental factors on the revealed health problems among the exposed group workers.
Keywords: working conditions, morbidity with temporary disability.
